| I opened The Wild Burro Bookstore in July of 2001. By October of 2001 Lucky Charm, born in Rapid City in August, joined me. Always by my side, Lucky Charm was funny and sweet and happy. A tennis ball addict, Lucky Charm and I spent many a morning and evening throwing (me) and chasing (her) Wilson up at Butler Park. We explored grasslands and national forests. We took many road trips together. We shared fritos and cheeseburgers. She was an integral part of my life here in South Dakota. Other wise known as Big Girl, LC, Lucas. babygirl, sweetie and pumpkin dog.
She wrote for the store website and store newsletter and many of you knew her personally. So I set this page up for you (and for me). Her passing was quick, and unexpected and threw me into a tailspin. It is why you haven't heard much from me this summer. She was my best friend. I will miss her.
