There's nothing like a great mystery to whisk you away from your day-to-day worries and woes. I love to read a good "cozy mystery" on occasion...those somewhat bloodless tales of caterers or cookie bakers or quilt makers who stumble on bodies and (generally) with the help of friends on the force manage to outwit the killers and narrowly avoiding their own demise in the process!
Local Mystery favorites include:
Craig Johnson and the Sheriff Walt Longmire series
Joanne Fluke - Cookie Shop proprietess who is constantly finding bodies.
Tony Hillerman - of course! Jim Chee and Lieutenant Leaphorn are universal favorites!
