The Wild Burro's unique reader's group is open to the public and meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm at Bumpers Grub & Pub on North River Street. Some of us have a beer (me) some have coffee, some have dinner or snacks and some don't. It's casual, it's fun and no one has to cook or clean up afterwards. The center of the city has become attractive once again and all over the country, the young, the hip, the up and comers have been moving to places that were previously suffering from urban blight and remodeling. In the lower East Side of New York the murder of a young professional shakes the community to the core as the perpetrator shifts from white friend to a black stranger, a shift the community isn't happy to contemplate. Gritty - the book takes place mostly in the interrogation chamber of the police department. Fabulous dialogue makes the story real.
