The Wild Burro Bookstore opened its doors on July 4th (Independence Day!) 2001. The store carries a small but select inventory. Specializing in quality fiction, The Wild Burro also carries current best sellers, and award winners in fiction, non-fiction, childrens books, cookbooks and whatever else appeals to the owner Laural (that would be me.) In addition to books, the store carries a large selection of greeted and blank notecards, pens, journals, stuffed animals, fimocreations, coffee from Dark Canyon (yum), music cd's from folks who have performed in the store and an ever changing selection of other eclectic items. My two Golden Retrievers are frequently on hand to serve as store greeters...though the overexuberant youngster (Willow) sometimes has to be sent to doggie day care to expend all that energy cooped up in the body of a young dog. Lucky Charm is generally present. She is my tail wagging, pet me, sweetheart. I love reading, I love my store, I love my dogs.
